This privacy statement relates to the information collected from you when you visit the Australian Adaptation Database website. Information we collect automatically
The website collects personal information indirectly when you are browsing. We use cookies, tracking pixels and similar technologies (collectively, cookies) to collect personal information.

Information we collect directly from you
The ‘submit an entry’ page is used for visitors to the website to contribute to the Australian Adaptation Database, and allows you to opt-in to share personal information for follow up. This is for the purpose of the research outlined in this Plain Language Statement. This research is covered by human research ethics approval from The University of Melbourne (Project ID 26428).
Any personal information collected will remain private and will not be shared. Should you provide a name and email address for follow up and to receive updates and further details, this will be stored securely at The University of Melbourne and will be destroyed 5 years after research outcomes are published. The confidentiality of your personal information will be safeguarded subject to any legal requirements: password protected and accessible only by the named researchers.
